AVID Specialty Plan Packages
A-Value Plans 
Plans designed with the A-Value system provide AVID customers with a 3-dimensional model of their architectural plan. This model is then used to analyze the structure for total framing efficiency and to produce a highly detailed set of construction documents to assist the framing contractor in building a more time and material efficient structure. Saving time and material means saving you money! A-Value plans include:
- Detailed material lists
- Foundation squaring diagrams
- Floor and ceiling joist placement plans
- Wall plate layout with stud placement
- Wall framing elevation drawings with rough openings
- Detailed roof and floor sheathing diagrams.

A-Energy Plans
Experts from around the world predict that the cost of fuel will continue rising at alarming and unprecedented rates. With this in mind, builders and homebuyers have become increasingly concerned about the overall energy efficiency of their homes. AVID's A-Energy plans are designed to address that concern. With every A-Energy plan, AVID has worked to integrate functional design with energy efficiency. Window opening sizes, orientation, construction methods and materials – including structural insulated panels (SIPs), insulated concrete forms (ICFs), 2x6 standard frame construction – along with energy efficient product specification are just a few of the considerations in producing an A-Energy plan. Look for the A-Energy logo on the plan rendering or click the A-Energy button in the "Special Features" section of the "Advanced Search" page. Remember, too, that AVID can customize many of its plans to accommodate more energy efficient processes. Energy efficient construction is no longer just a theory. State-of-the-art products and construction techniques make A-Energy plans a reality!
A-Access Plans
AVID realizes the significant lack of plans readily available for people with special access needs or those who want to “age in place.” To this day, those in need of “universal” or handicap accessible plans have few options other than to develop a custom plan (which AVID is delighted to do). AVID is, however, committed to developing an affordably priced, diverse library of such plans with the same beautiful styling and modern design you’ve come to expect from AVID. Special access will be a standard feature of AVID’s A-Access plans. Check back often, as AVID is continually updating its online library of stock plans. A-Access plans will be searchable and tagged with the A-Access logo on the “Plan Details” page.
