How To Search
QUICK SEARCH
Searching for a house plan is easy. To conduct a “Quick Search,” locate the green header labeled "Search House Plans" found in the left margin on many of AVID’s web pages. Then define one or more of the following criteria to return plans that match the design criteria and overall characteristics you need or want in a home plan.
Home Style: Click on the drop-down arrow to view a list of home styles. If you have a specific style in mind (e.g., Craftsman), scroll down the list and click on your choice; otherwise, choose “Any”. (Note: Click here to view definitions of the various architectural home styles.)
Square Footage: Select the minimum and maximum square footage you want in a plan by clicking on the two drop-down lists and selecting the appropriate numbers.
Levels: Specify the number of floor levels or “stories” you want in a plan (one, two or multiple) by checking each box that applies (more than one selection may be made).
Bedrooms: Check the box beside the appropriate number(s) to indicate the preferred number of bedrooms desired (more than one selection may be made).
Baths: Check the box beside the appropriate number(s) to indicate the preferred number of baths desired (more than one selection may be made).
New Plans Only: Check this box if you only wish to view plans that have been added to AVID’s online library within the last thirty (30) days.
You may define as few or as many criteria as you wish; then click the blue & white “Search” button below to filter and display plans that most closely match the information you provided. Plans that match the highest number of criteria defined by you will be displayed first in your search results. You can broaden or narrow your search by redefining the search criteria and/or using the “Advanced Search” filter (see below).
ADVANCED SEARCH
A “Quick Search” may result in a very large number of corresponding plans. To further filter or narrow your search, click the green “Advanced Search” button found in the left margin on many of AVID’s web pages. A new page outlining a wide variety of options will be displayed. Click to check as few or as many options as you like – the more filters you select, the fewer plans will be returned, but the closer they will match the overall design criteria and characteristics you provided. Should the search result in zero (0) matches, try deselecting some of the options and search again. Keep in mind that AVID can modify any plan to suit your specific needs and wants.
You can broaden your search by deselecting some of the options previously checked. You can also improve your search results by making multiple selections for the number of bathrooms and bedrooms.

Simply find a plan that closely matches your criteria, click the "Pricing and Ordering" button, scroll down to the "Plan Customization" box, and follow the instructions for obtaining a Customization Quote.
